International Hospitality Internship Program

The 2021 FIFA Arab Cup was an international football tournament organized by FIFA and held in Qatar from 30 November to 18 December 2021.

Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 period, MIHMCT partnered with QSS Doha as the Master Food & Beverage Concessionaire for the tournament.

Over 150+ students participated in an international internship program, working across six stadiums and supporting 32 matches. Students were trained in food preparation, beverage services, and fan hospitality operations.

This experience provided valuable exposure to international hospitality standards and large-scale event management.

FIFA World Cup 2022

Global Hospitality Event Experience

The 2022 FIFA World Cup was the 22nd edition of the world’s biggest football tournament, held in Qatar.

Building on the success of the FIFA Arab Cup partnership, MIHMCT once again collaborated as a hospitality partner.

Students worked in hospitality and food service operations, delivering services to thousands of international guests and fans. The event provided:

• Hands-on industry experience
• Exposure to global hospitality standards
• Training in large-scale event service management

Cordelia Cruises (Since 2022)

Luxury Cruise Hospitality Training

Cordelia Cruises is India’s leading domestic cruise brand offering luxury voyages along the Indian coast and nearby international destinations.

Through collaboration with Zaitoon since 2022, students gained experience in onboard hospitality operations.

They participated in:

• Food and beverage service
• Guest relations
• Cruise hospitality operations

This program provided practical training in luxury cruise hospitality environments.

TN CM Breakfast Scheme – Training Program

Food Safety & Nutrition Training Initiative

The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Breakfast Scheme is a government initiative aimed at improving child nutrition and school attendance.

MIHMCT conducted food safety and hygiene training programs for food handlers involved in the scheme.

Key achievements:

• 200+ food handlers trained
• Training conducted for two consecutive years
• Focus on hygiene, food safety, and nutrition standards

This initiative helped improve the quality and safety of meals served to schoolchildren across Tamil Nadu.

G20 Summit 2023

International Event Hospitality Experience

Chennai hosted several G20 meetings during India’s G20 Presidency in 2023.

MIHMCT students participated in hospitality operations during the summit, assisting with:

• Guest management
• Event support
• Hospitality coordination

Students gained exposure to high-profile international diplomatic events, strengthening their professional skills in global event management.

Khelo India Youth Games 2024

National Sports Hospitality Support

Khelo India is India’s flagship national sports development program promoting grassroots sports and talent identification.

Students worked in hospitality support for the event, contributing to:

• Athlete accommodation management
• Guest services
• Food and beverage operations

This experience provided real-world training in sports event hospitality management.

23rd National Para-Athlete Championship (2025)

Mega National Sports Event Hospitality

The 23rd National Para-Athlete Championship was held in Chennai from 17–20 February 2025 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

MIHMCT partnered with the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT) as hospitality and catering partner.

Key highlights:

• 6000 meals served per day
• Accommodation and guest service management
• Logistics support across airports, railways, and hotels

Students gained valuable exposure to large-scale national sports event operations.
